Raptors’ Guard Kyle Lowry Eying 3-Year, $90-Million Deal in Free Agency
As soon as free agency kicks off, Kyle Lowry will be one of the bigger names on the market.
A multi-time All-Star and a former NBA champion, the 35-year old Lowry has shown time and time again that he still has some game left in the tank.
The question though is how much is truly left?
This is a question that many potential suitors will need to answer because Lowry is allegedly eying a pretty favorable pay day somewhere in the ballpark of three-years, $90-million. While a return to Toronto is by no means out of the question, if the price tag remains as high as it is, the Raptors may be better suited to move off their franchise’s leader as the look to move into a younger direction.
According to reports close to the situation, if Lowry is to leave Toronto, he is expected to receive interest from the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks among other teams. Last week, there were even some rumblings that Lowry and DeMar DeRozan are looking into the potential of reuniting on the floor and join the Lakers.
Of course, these are all rumours and speculations and we will not know what the market truly looks like until after the draft once the focus turns on free agency.
No matter what Lowry decides to do, one thing is for sure – he is about to get paid!
