Toronto Raptors Rookie Scottie Barnes Signs First Sneaker Deal with Nike
The Toronto Raptors rookie phenom continues to grow in popularity.
With a personality as infectious as any in the NBA, Scottie Barnes has took over Toronto by storm and he has backed it up with his play in the NBA’s Summer League.
In four games down in Las Vegas, the no. 4 overall pick has averaged 20.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while showing off a plethora of tools on the defensive end of the floor. The Raptors may have very well found their next star in Barnes and while it is far too early to make any assumptions on the 20-year old’s future, his stock only continues to climb.

On Friday, news broke that Barnes has signed a multi-year shoe and apparel endorsement deal with Nike. Barnes will join a long list of high profile NBA stars sponsored by the sneaker giant, which includes the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Paul George and numerous others.
This is only the beginning for Barnes, but the future is definitely exciting.
