Lakers, Nets to Square Off on NBA’s Christmas Day

Christmas is one of the marquee days on the NBA calendar.

Each and every season the league rolls out five games between 10 of the best and most popular teams in the NBA for one of the best days for basketball all year.

This year is no different as we will receive a number of highly-contested and exhilarating matchups.

Per release, LeBron James and his new-look Big-3 will take on the Brooklyn Nets, while the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will square off against the Boston Celtics. The Christmas tradition will kick off with the New York Knicks looking to avenge their first round loss against the Atlanta Hawks. To wrap up the day, the Golden State Warriors will take on the Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks will matchup with the Utah Jazz in the night cap.

The following is the exact Christmas day schedule with the times of each matchup:

  • Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks – 12:00 PM ET on ESPN
  • Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks – 2:30 PM ET on ABC
  • Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns – 5:00 PM ET on ABC
  • Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles Lakers – 8:00 PM ET on ABC/ESPN
  • Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz – 10:30 PM ET on ESPN
