Blazers Open Investigation

Portland Trail Blazers Set to Investigate Olshey for Workplace Misconduct

With the ongoing allegations surrounding the owner of the Phoenix Suns, it appears that the NBA will soon have yet another investigation on their hands.

The Portland Trail Blazers and owner Jody Allen are set to launch an investigation into alleged workplace misconduct by President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey. According to sources close to the situation, at least one Blazers employee has reported potential misconduct. The details of the misconduct have not yet been revealed.

The Blazers say they were “recently notified of concerns around workplace environment by non-player personnel at the practice facility. In response, we immediately engaged O’Melveny & Myers, an outside firm with significant expertise in this area, to conduct a full, fair and independent review into these concerns and will take appropriate action based on its outcome.”

Olshey has not responded to multiple text messages left by The Athletic.

“We don’t have a comment on this matter at this time.” said the Blazers in a team statement.

We will provide more information on the situation as it comes out.
