Simmons Move Coming?

Ben Simmons Trade Market Heating Up, 76ers Hoping to Make Move Soon

A Ben Simmons trade may be close.

At the conclusion of the week, multiple reports, including one from Shams Charania of The Athletic confirmed that the Philadelphia 76ers are gaining momentum in a potential Simmons trade.

According to sources, the 76ers are looking for a top-25 player in exchange for the disgruntled Simmons who has yet to play a single game for the Sixers this season. More teams are said to be engaging with Philadelphia as there have been discussions over potential two-team and three-team trade scenarios. The possibility of a trade is set to increase next week as following December 15, players who signed offseason contracts will become eligible to be included in deals.

The Portland Trail Blazers remained one of the more aggressive teams in the Simmons sweepstakes but have made it clear that superstar Damian Lillard will not be involved in any potential move.

A three-time All-Star, Simmons has averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game for his career.
