As part of the move, the Knicks sent Kevin Knox and a 2022 first-round pick (via the Charlotte Hornets) to the Hawks for the 22-year old forward, Solomon Hill, as well as a 2025 second-round pick (via the Brooklyn Nets). The Knicks also waived Ryan Arcidiacono to make room on the roster for the acquired players. The Lakers have been reportedly linked to Reddish as well in recent days, but ultimately the Hawks opted to move him to New York.
The former 10th overall selection in the 2019 draft has been in the midst of a career season, averaging 11.9 points on 40-percent shooting from the field. He is also shooting a career-best 38-percent from long range this season.
